Why we love Marlu Station
For couples dreaming of a rustic wedding filled with wide skies and raw Hunter Valley beauty, Marlu Station is an incredible choice. This working property offers expansive fields, charming old farm buildings, and panoramic views that stretch across the horizon. We love photographing weddings here because of the sense of space and freedom — portraits feel natural, candid, and deeply connected to the land. As the sun sets and the sky glows orange over the paddocks, Marlu Station creates those truly cinematic moments that couples never forget.
About Marlu Station
Marlu Station is a 112-acre property on Wollombi Road, Broke, at the foot of Yellow Rock. It is wide skies and farm country: cattle yards, hay bales and a homestead, perfect for a relaxed, rustic wedding.
Ceremony and reception
Both happen on the property, in several locations. The rustic Cattle Yard Bar and the Hay Bale Awning are signature spaces. Listings put capacity at around 150 seated or 200 cocktail per space. Weddings include two days of exclusive hire and a dedicated venue coordinator, and catering is in-house.
Staying on site
The Station House has four rooms, three bathrooms, a pool and a modern kitchen, so it is ideal for getting ready.
Photo spots we look for
Yellow Rock and the open paddocks are made for golden hour. Grace & Rhys’s wedding shows how the light falls across the station in the late afternoon.
