Terms & conditions

By booking with Bedroom Studio Wedding Photography, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Booking deposit

• A non-refundable booking fee ($750 for cinematography bookings, $750 for photography bookings, $1,500 for combo bookings and $750 for content creator bookings) is payable within 7 days of your invoice date to secure your wedding date. Your booking is not confirmed until the booking fee is received, or remittance advice is provided via email. In the case of non-payment of the booking fee within the 7-day time frame, your date will become open to other bookings.

• Receipt of your booking fee is confirmation of your booking, and your photographer or cinematographer will not take any other bookings on that date. We sell out most weekends well in advance, so it is a good idea to secure your date as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

• The remaining payment is due 30 days before the ceremony date. Services will not be rendered unless payment is made in full before your wedding date.

Change of package

• You are able to change the package that you have selected after you have paid the deposit, up to 30 days before your ceremony. You are able to upgrade your package up to 24 hours before your ceremony, pending availability.

Payments

• All payments are final. There are no refunds on payments made to Bedroom Studio.

• We accept credit cards via Stripe.

Liability

• Bedroom Studio has public and products liability insurance. Our Certificate of Currency is downloadable via your client portal if you need to provide it to your venue.

• Any liability on the part of Bedroom Studio will be limited to the total amount paid to Bedroom Studio by the client.

The shoot

• It is the client's responsibility to secure relevant permissions and access to areas for videography and photography. Bedroom Studio will not be responsible for coverage lost due to access restrictions.

• Bedroom Studio will not be held liable for any production problems beyond our control, e.g. bad weather, accidents, poor acoustics/lighting, technical issues with equipment from other vendors, interference from guests, etc.

Vendor meals

• If our team is covering your reception, it is mandatory to provide a vendor meal for every Bedroom Studio team member. Vendor meals should be served at a similar time to the guests’ meals to ensure coverage is not missed during key moments of the reception.

Post-production

• We offer no free re-edits; however, in the unlikely event that there is an error that is the fault of the editor (e.g. a typo) we will fix this mistake free of charge. Additional re-edits will incur an editing fee of $110/hour (inc GST) which will be quoted before work is started.

• Bedroom Studio is not held responsible for any loss or corruption of photo files or video footage; however, a full refund will be given in this event, or a refund in proportion to the footage lost.

• Turnaround time is up to 10 weeks, though it can extend to approximately 16 weeks during the busy period. You will be given an estimated delivery time in writing shortly after your wedding, however delivery by this date is an estimate only, and may change. Bedroom Studio are not bound by estimated delivery dates.

Artistic style & creative control

• The client acknowledges that Bedroom Studio produces work in its unique and established signature style. The client agrees that all creative decisions, including but not limited to image selection, curation, composition, and editing style, are at the sole discretion of the creative team. By entering into this agreement, the client confirms their trust in the professional judgment of the creative team and accepts that such creative decisions are final.

Delivery

• Bedroom Studio will deliver all edited photo and video files via an online gallery sent to the email address provided by the client.

• It is the client's responsibility to download and back up all files after delivery. We advise that you do this immediately so you keep a backup on your own device.

• Edited gallery – your package includes free hosting of your edited files in your online gallery for 12 months after final delivery. This can be extended to 5 years upon request for $50.

• Unedited raw files – Bedroom Studio will also keep a backup of all of your raw, unedited photos and video footage for 30 days after final delivery. The client has the option to purchase these raw files ($500 for all raw video files and $500 for all raw photo files) if they would like to keep their own archive.

Exclusivity

• Wedding photography and wedding combo package clients acknowledge that the presence of other photographers at the event may hinder or disrupt the delivery of quality photographic services by Bedroom Studio.

• Bedroom Studio shall be the exclusive photographer for the purposes of the wedding and will have the exclusive right to enlist and direct assistance and/or subcontractors.

• Wedding cinema and wedding combo package clients acknowledge that the presence of other videographers or cinematographers at the event may hinder or disrupt the delivery of quality video services by Bedroom Studio.

• Bedroom Studio shall be the exclusive cinematographer for the purposes of the wedding and will have the exclusive right to enlist and direct assistance and/or subcontractors.

Copyright

• All final footage and edits are the work, and therefore the property, of Bedroom Studio. Your final film, photographs and footage may not be used for commercial use without additional fees paid and the express, written consent of Bedroom Studio.

• All or part of the content produced may be used for promotional purposes by Bedroom Studio. If you wish to exclude video or images from being used, you can purchase exclusive rights to the content from Bedroom Studio for $500 (inc GST).

Contract

• Bedroom Studio reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reasonable cause, e.g. accident or ill health. In this event, all monies paid will be refunded in full.
