Set among 550 acres of vineyards and native bushland, Stonehurst Cedar Creek is the epitome of rustic Hunter Valley charm. The sandstone cellar door and historic cottages offer endless character, while the surrounding bushland and vineyards create a sense of adventure and freedom. We love capturing couples here because it’s such a versatile canvas — you can have portraits by the creek, golden fields, or beneath rows of poplar trees. Weddings at Stonehurst always feel relaxed, heartfelt, and full of natural beauty.
About Stonehurst Cedar Creek
Stonehurst Cedar Creek is a vineyard and cottage estate at Cedar Creek, near the village of Wollombi, surrounded by vines and native bushland. It feels secluded and green, a quieter side of the Hunter.
Ceremony spots
There is no chapel on site. Instead there are outdoor settings like The Grove and the Creekside areas, plus the Pavilion as a wet-weather option. For a church, the historic sandstone St Michael’s in Wollombi village is about eight minutes away and seats around 80.
Receptions and stays
Listings put receptions at about 120 seated or 150 standing, and the Pavilion also works as an open-air dining space. The estate’s cottages sleep about 28 in total, and all must be booked for your wedding, so it is yours for the weekend.
Photo spots we look for
The creek, the grove and the bush edges give soft, natural light and a lot of green. We love an evening walk through the vines here, when the valley goes quiet.
