Why we love La Pera Estate
La Pera Estate is perfect for couples who want that classic chapel wedding — but with the Hunter Valley’s charm all around them. Nestled among rolling hills and vineyards, the chapel feels intimate and romantic while still being surrounded by incredible scenery. Inside, the soft light and traditional details create a timeless backdrop for saying “I do.” We love how seamlessly the ceremony flows into stunning outdoor photos, making it such a well-rounded venue for storytelling from start to finish.
About La Pera Estate
La Pera Estate is a 27-acre private estate in Lovedale, and was formerly known as the Lovedale Wedding Chapel. It is an all-in-one venue with a chapel, a reception centre and three cottages, and when you book it the property is yours exclusively.
The chapel
The chapel is simple inside, with handcrafted pews seating up to about 108 guests. It is a classic Hunter Valley chapel ceremony that is also weather-proof.
The reception centre
The reception centre was built in 2014 and renovated for the La Pera rebrand. Large glass doors give vineyard views from every seat. Ask the venue for current guest numbers.
Photo spots we look for
The chapel aisle and doors for the ceremony, the vines right outside for golden-hour portraits, and the cottages for getting ready, all within a short walk.
