About Nobbys Beach
Nobbys Beach sits below Fort Scratchley at the harbour entrance, with the lighthouse on Nobbys headland and the long breakwall reaching out to sea.
Booking a ceremony
Ceremonies on Newcastle’s beaches need an event licence from the City of Newcastle (book through council customer service). Receptions aren’t allowed on beaches, so pair it with a venue nearby, such as Fort Scratchley or a city venue.
Photo spots we look for
The breakwall walk, the lighthouse on the headland and ships coming into the harbour at sunset.
