About the Royal Botanic Garden
The Royal Botanic Garden sits on the harbour beside the Opera House and the city. It offers 17 indoor and outdoor venues and lawns, from tiny garden corners to full receptions.
Ceremony and reception spaces
Garden ceremonies at many lawns and spots through the Garden.
The Palm House, NSW’s oldest glasshouse, a wet-weather option for up to about 100 cocktail.
Lion Gate Lodge, with a paved courtyard under a permanent awning.
The Calyx, with a terrace over the lawns, for about 180.
Botanic House, a wedding-only venue.
You can generally bring your own suppliers, and premium sites include a photography permit to roam the Garden.
Photo spots we look for
Big old fig trees, the harbour edge, and the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the distance. Check your permit covers photos around the Garden.
