About Vaucluse House
Vaucluse House is one of Sydney’s few 19th-century mansions still surrounded by its original gardens and grounds, with the estate stretching down to the harbour. It is run by Museums of History NSW (formerly Sydney Living Museums), and only one wedding is held at a time.
Ceremony and reception
Ceremonies are held outdoors in the grounds, with the sandstone verandah as the wet-weather option. Listings put ceremonies at up to about 200 guests and receptions at about 80 to 146, catered in-house by PEARL. Music ends at 10.30 pm.
Photo spots we look for
The verandahs, the formal gardens and the old trees give us a classic, timeless look. Kat & Aaryn’s wedding shows the estate beautifully.
