About Gunners’ Barracks
Gunners’ Barracks was built in 1873 for the artillerymen who manned the battery on Georges Head, and sits on the harbour above Chowder Bay in Mosman. Sandstone, bush and water make it one of Sydney’s most romantic harbour venues.
Ceremony spots
The Sandstone Courtyard, which later becomes the dance floor under fairy lights.
The Harbour Terrace, overlooking Chowder Bay, with a retractable roof.
The Harbour View Lawn.
The reception
Receptions seat about 130 guests, or 180 cocktail style. A common flow is ceremony, cocktails on the terrace, then back to the courtyard for dancing.

Sandstone walls and arches, the harbour and bushland of Georges Head, and the terrace at golden hour with Chowder Bay below.
