Why we love Fernbank Farm

Nestled on 25 acres of lush countryside, Fernbank Farm is the Central Coast’s answer to timeless romance. With its sweeping gardens, charming lakeside jetty, and grand homestead, it feels like stepping into a storybook. As photographers, we love how the property offers endless backdrops — from intimate, dappled light beneath the willow trees to wide-open golden fields at sunset. It’s elegant, rustic, and undeniably romantic all at once.

About Fernbank Farm

Fernbank Farm is in the Yarramalong Valley at Wyong Creek, about an hour north of Sydney, on 25 acres of lush greenery around a large lake. It is green, peaceful and private, and the two homesteads mean your favourite people can stay.

Ceremony and reception

There are indoor and outdoor ceremony settings, including a rotunda by the lake. Receptions are in the on-site marquee for up to about 120 guests (listings vary slightly). Venue hire is quoted individually by season, guest numbers and accommodation.

Staying on site

There are two four-bedroom homesteads, the Heritage House and The Cottage, with a bridal suite available as an add-on.

Photo spots we look for

The lake and rotunda give reflections and a classic frame, and the valley’s green hills glow at golden hour. It is an easy place for relaxed, wandering portraits.
