Why we love Sunset & Vine at Wonganella Estate
Set high among the vineyards with panoramic views over Tilligerry Creek, Sunset & Vine is a feast for the eyes. Its name says it all — this is the kind of venue where sunsets spill across the vines, painting everything in rich golden tones. From a photography perspective, it’s heaven: rows of vines, sweeping horizons, and receptions that glow with candlelight as the day fades into night. It’s equal parts romantic and dramatic — exactly what makes weddings unforgettable.
About Wonganella Estate
Sunset & Vine sits on the hilltop of the Wonganella vineyard at Bobs Farm, behind the brewery, with views over Tilligerry Creek. It is about two hours from Sydney, half an hour from Newcastle and 15 minutes from Nelson Bay.
Ceremony and reception
There are several spots for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, with full or partial venue hire and bar packages for up to about 125 guests.
Photo spots we look for
The name says it all: the hilltop catches the last light over the vines and the creek. We plan portraits right on sunset.
