Why we love The Retreat Port Stephens
Nestled among the sand dunes and bushland near Anna Bay, The Retreat is a truly unique wedding escape. Couples love it for its privacy and natural beauty, while we adore it for the way the coastal light filters through the trees at golden hour. From barefoot beachside vows to relaxed receptions under the stars, it’s a venue that feels both adventurous and intimate.
About The Retreat
The Retreat is on Nelson Bay Road at Anna Bay, on four acres of bushland near the Stockton dunes. About 11 buildings, from cabins and bungalows to The Ranch and The Lodge, sleep around 90 to 100 guests.
Ceremony and reception
Packages include two nights’ accommodation with exclusive use of the property. The indoor function room takes about 80 seated or 100 for a cocktail party. Confirm numbers with the venue.
Photo spots we look for
The bush setting for the ceremony, and the nearby beaches and dunes of Anna Bay for big, sandy, golden-hour portraits.
