Why we love Bidja Estate
If you’ve ever wanted your wedding to feel like a hidden garden fairytale, Bidja Estate is where it happens. Nestled among lush greenery and secret pathways, it’s a venue that feels secluded and magical. The property is a mix of manicured beauty and wild, natural charm — perfect for couples who want something intimate but still show-stopping. As photographers, we love the soft dappled light filtering through the trees and the sense of privacy that makes every moment feel just yours.
About Bidja Estate
Bidja Estate is a privately owned, family-run venue in Ourimbah on the Central Coast, about 90 minutes from Sydney. It is a DIY “blank canvas” venue with rainforest, gardens and countryside settings, so you shape the day your way.
Ceremony and reception
The red barn seats about 160 to 170 guests and can also host your ceremony, and there is an open-air dance floor outside. The venue supplies base furniture and props, and you choose your caterer. Bidja doesn’t sell alcohol and has no liquor licence, so you supply drinks and RSA-certified bar staff. Pets are welcome on the day.
Staying on site
There are two queen rooms in the main residence, the Bidja Farmhouse (sleeps six to eight), and a detached studio honeymoon suite for the wedding night.
Photo spots we look for
Secret garden paths, rainforest greenery and the red barn doors. It is a fairytale setting for portraits.

Yes. The venue has no liquor licence, so you supply drinks and RSA-certified staff.
